White Lilies grow in my garden every summer and smell heavenly! –
They inspired a series of oil paintings, this being the first.
It is sized at 12″x9″ and painted in oils on a 1/8″ panel.
“Last of the Evening Light” is an Original Oil painting on 6″x6″ gallery wrapped box canvas. This vibrant painting showcases the setting sun as it drops behind the mountains, and creates that magical time of day. Saturated warm tones are set against dark contrasts creating a pop of color, perfect for any small space. I love sunsets because they quench my soul with that luscious color I so dearly enjoy. “Last of the Evening Light” is available in my shop. Ask about payment plans! Any budget can be accommodated.
Old Days on the Lake reminds us of days gone by; summers spent enjoying the sun and fun on the water. Do you have a special summer memory? Summer will soon be here. I can’t wait!
This small works painting can be displayed anywhere as a part of your decor. Showcase it on a desk or in a bookcase. Changing your decor with the seasons can easily be done with a small painting. “Old Days on the Lake” is 4″x4″x2″ and is enclosed with wood on the back. It has a hole for hanging.
“Roses” 6″x6″ oil on panel is framed in black with a gold liner. The piece was painted from life with roses from my garden. I love how this turned out!
Nothing says spring like Hibiscus flowers! This painting may be small but packs a powerful visual punch. Small works are portable and can find a place anywhere, unlike larger paintings. Small paintings can be used for seasonal decor and then stored easily afterwards. The smaller the painting, the more the detail, bringing the viewer in. (The watermark is not on the painting.)
It’s mushroom season! Warm temps and rain always lead to an abundance of mushrooms! We get a variety of strange mushrooms and this one was growing in the grass in our backyard. It looks like a little umbrella when it first opens. Then it slowly starts to disintegrate and looks like its melting! In a few days it’s gone.
I’ve added this painting to the shop and you can check it out HERE.
Sadly, bitter cold temps have returned and more snow is on the way this week. The mushroom growing season will be on hold for a bit.
Here’s a little calf I recently finished from my works in progress pile. He was painted from a reference photo from another local artist. He will be framed in white and hung in my kitchen near my chicken painting, which I posted about a few weeks ago.
Painted in oils on an 8″x10″ panel. I’m really happy with how he turned out.
Now my works in progress pile is finished! I’ll share the last painting when it dries down a bit. I’m onto new works now; a series called “30 Shades of White”. Stay tuned for more on that soon. 🙂
