There’s a lovely old footbridge which connects the mainland to a small island on our lake that’s fun to explore. At the top of the island is a small bench overlooking the bay where one can sit and watch boats come in and out. I love the look of this bridge with its old worn boards and the grasses beneath it. This is a small works oil painting on panel and is available in the shop.
The inspiration for this oil painting came from a Monarch butterfly that was injured and spent a few days on our driveway before finally flying away. And of course the sweet daisies that grow wild in our area was a must for the story. What can I say? I love how this painting turned out. I enjoy painting true to life and all the little details. The painting measures 6″x6″ on a 2″ gallery wrapped canvas. It’s one of my faves!
“Pink Fuchsia Buds” in colors of light pink oils painted on a dark canvas, evokes a sense of mystery! This piece was created on a 6″x6″ box canvas. Pair it perfectly with the “Single Fuchsia Flower” painted on a mini 4″x4″ box canvas:
“Last of the Evening Light” is an Original Oil painting on 6″x6″ gallery wrapped box canvas. This vibrant painting showcases the setting sun as it drops behind the mountains, and creates that magical time of day. Saturated warm tones are set against dark contrasts creating a pop of color, perfect for any small space. I love sunsets because they quench my soul with that luscious color I so dearly enjoy. “Last of the Evening Light” is available in my shop. Ask about payment plans! Any budget can be accommodated.
Old Days on the Lake reminds us of days gone by; summers spent enjoying the sun and fun on the water. Do you have a special summer memory? Summer will soon be here. I can’t wait!
This small works painting can be displayed anywhere as a part of your decor. Showcase it on a desk or in a bookcase. Changing your decor with the seasons can easily be done with a small painting. “Old Days on the Lake” is 4″x4″x2″ and is enclosed with wood on the back. It has a hole for hanging.
Nothing says spring like Hibiscus flowers! This painting may be small but packs a powerful visual punch. Small works are portable and can find a place anywhere, unlike larger paintings. Small paintings can be used for seasonal decor and then stored easily afterwards. The smaller the painting, the more the detail, bringing the viewer in. (The watermark is not on the painting.)
“In art, intentions have no place; only results. In good art, the results do not have to be explained. As a matter of fact, there is but one kind of art and that is good art. There is no comfortable halfway station; it is either fine, or it is not art.”
