Hear Ye, Hear Ye, just into my Gift Shop are Pewter Snowflake shaped tree ornaments! These sweet little ornaments measure 3″x3″ and are created from my Christmas collection of oil paintings. They arrive gift boxed and ready to hang or give to that someone special.
Christmas Teddy Bears Tree ornament is so cute! Who doesn’t love Teddy Bears? A boy Teddy and a girl Teddy send their message of Christmas love and friendship!
Do I sound like a commercial? I apologize, but I’m so excited to bring new merch to my site! My Christmas oil paintings are part of my private collection, and I’m happy to be able to share them with you in this way. Check out the Gift Shop for more ornaments.
“Skiffs on the Dock” is a 6″x6″ oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas. I enjoy painting small works because they are so portable. Small paintings can be used to decorate with the seasons and easily stored or moved around. You can display collections of small works with fine collectibles in an art niche, in a bookcase or on an office credenza.
“Skiffs on the Dock” is now available in my store. If you or someone you know loves small nautical works of art, won’t you share this post? Mother’s Day and Father’s Day will be here soon. Why not give a gift that lasts a lifetime?
“Milk Bottle” is another in my White Things Series and is painted in oil on 6″x6″ panel. This piece was a bit tricky because the bottle is a ceramic surface and not highly reflective. I really had to push the highlights to portray the surface and not have it look stagnant.
“Milk Bottle” pairs great with my “Eggs” oil painting! I like to decorate in the Farm House style even though I live at the lake so I’m often torn as to what to decorate with. My kitchen is farm house style and the rest of the house is lake themed. Is that weird of me?
“Milk Bottle” is framed in black with a silver liner. The watermark is not on the painting.
When I work on paintings I like to figure out a plan before beginning. I’ll do some compositional grayscale studies first to figure out the lights and darks then move into color swatching followed by small vignettes of the scene. Doing this helps me figure out my tones and a preferred palette. But since I can never paint the same thing twice it seems my favorite piece is always on the study board! So I’m thinking of having this study board framed cause I really like how it looks. What do you think?
“Pink Roses”, framed in a custom walnut stained frame is an 8″x10″ oil on canvas. Painted in warm tones, which evokes a sense of romance from yesteryear.
These beautiful pink roses are the last for this year. The rose petals are a delicate pink and bloom in groups that almost look like a bouquet from the flower shop. It’s my favorite rose-bush! Do you love roses as much as I do? What’s your favorite flower?
“Pink Roses” original oil painting will soon be available in the shop.
This one of a kind floral painting would make a
beautiful gift for that special someone this Christmas!
“In art, intentions have no place; only results. In good art, the results do not have to be explained. As a matter of fact, there is but one kind of art and that is good art. There is no comfortable halfway station; it is either fine, or it is not art.”
