New in the store! “Teapot” is a 6″x6″ original oil on panel painting.
I used a limited palette of whites and greys to portray the subject.
The black frame with silver liner, makes a very dramatic statement!
This painting may be small, but I love the way it commands attention!
Signed by the artist. Certificate of Authenticity included.
Please note: The Tamarack Mountain Studio watermark will not be on your painting.
This is done for online purposes only.
Also, while every effort is made to color correct images,
differences in monitors cannot be helped,
and the painting may look slightly different, if not better, in real life.
Spectral highlights from the gloss varnish may show up on screen as white dots.
This is normal and cannot be helped.

“Who spilled the cream?” is painted in oil on gallery wrapped box canvas. I really enjoy still life work when it’s not plein air season. We’re still having lots of rain, so while I wait for the weather to change I keep busy painting other subjects. Small paintings allow me to paint more, whereas large paintings take a lot of time. The smaller the painting, the more the detail, bringing the viewer into the piece. I like that. 👍🏻😊
There’s a lovely old footbridge which connects the mainland to a small island on our lake that’s fun to explore. At the top of the island is a small bench overlooking the bay where one can sit and watch boats come in and out. I love the look of this bridge with its old worn boards and the grasses beneath it. This is a small works oil painting on panel and is available in the shop.
The inspiration for this oil painting came from a Monarch butterfly that was injured and spent a few days on our driveway before finally flying away. And of course the sweet daisies that grow wild in our area was a must for the story. What can I say? I love how this painting turned out. I enjoy painting true to life and all the little details. The painting measures 6″x6″ on a 2″ gallery wrapped canvas. It’s one of my faves!
“Pink Fuchsia Buds” in colors of light pink oils painted on a dark canvas, evokes a sense of mystery! This piece was created on a 6″x6″ box canvas. Pair it perfectly with the “Single Fuchsia Flower” painted on a mini 4″x4″ box canvas:
Both are available in my shop.
Hummingbirds love Fuchsia flowers! Soon the little birds will be here again inspiring me to paint more floral paintings. 😊
